I hope we get back to normal soon. Is this the new normal? When will things become normal again? Since the COVID pandemic hit, chances are you have heard these phrases often.
We received Donn’s diagnosis of mixed neurological disease in November 2020 at the height of the COVID pandemic.
My days have been anything except normal – irregular, uneven, different – at best.
As a care partner, there is no point in hoping for normal. Instead, I think:
I hope today is a good day.
I hope today is a loving day.
I hope today I have patience.
I hope today I manage with grace all that comes my way.
